Digiworld Corporation

Digiworld was founded in 1997 by Mr. Doan Hong Viet (CEO and Chairman), Ms. To Hong Trang (Corporate Affairs Manager – Vice President) and Ms. Dang Kien Phuong (CFO). The company operates in the IT distribution industry and started off with computer hardware. Over the years, Digiworld has expanded significantly to become the number 1 IT company in trading of PCs, peripherals and software in Vietnam (by VNR500) with approximately 800 resellers and more than 200 employees nation-wide. The company is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City and has 2 other branches in Danang and Hanoi as well as 4 warehouses. It is acting as Authorized Service Provider (“ASP”) for most of its products (except for HP Compaq laptops) with 3 service centers located across the country.

Mekong Enterprise Fund II made an investment into Digiworld in December 2008. 

Country-wide market presence

Digiworld’s national distribution network provides vendors with access to a broad base of geographically dispersed resellers. In all 3 regions of Vietnam, Digiworld has an office, a warehouse, and a service center which collectively allow the company to offer faster delivery time and better customer service to its 800 resellers as well as gaining market intelligence from local presence.

Broad portfolio of products in the fastest growing segments

Currently, Digiworld is distributing products from the top PC makers in the world including HP-Compaq, Acer, Dell, Toshiba and Fujitsu. Other brands can be listed as InFocus, Lexmark, Logitech and Genius.

Products under distribution consist of laptops, desktops, LCD monitors, printers, projectors, input devices and IT-related consumer electronics (digital cameras) which are among the fastest growing segments in the already booming overall IT market. Broad portfolio allows Digiworld to offer a wide variety of products, satisfy customers’ requirements for product availability which create convenience in procurement through a single point of contact. In addition, broad portfolio provides Digiworld unique opportunity to gain technical knowledge, which in turn, allows the company to offer value-added services such as multi-vendor or multi-product IT configuration for Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMB) customers.

July 2000: Distributing Acer products February 2003 Conversion into Digiworld Joint Stock Company

June 2003: Distributing Lexmark products

April 2004: Establishment of Ha Noi branch

March 2006: Distributing HP products September 2006 Establishment of Da Nang branch

March 2007: Distributing InFocus products

December 2007: 10-year anniversary of Digiworld and establishment of DigiHeart charity fund

March 2008: Distributing Fujitsu products
