Established in 2003, MK Smart JSC is an IT related service provider, offering "4S" products and services: Security, Smartcard, Solution & Service

MK Smart owns a manufacturing facility of 10,400 square meter, located in the Quang Minh Industrial Zone, Ha Noi with over 200 workers. In 2010, the Company opened a new factory in Ho Chi Minh City for business form. Major customers of MK Smart are leading mobile phone network operators, phone manufacturers, gaming companies, Telecom, Banking, Retail in Vietnam.

Led by a management team of extensive industry experience and international exposure, MK Smart has experienced exponential growth since its inception and is well-positioned to capture potential opportunities in Vietnam and regional fast-growing markets.

Mekong Enterprise Fund II made an investment in the company in December 2007.

 

Technology know-how

Operating in a technology-related industry, MK Smart has invested extensively in training and building their staff’s technology know-how. Moreover, its technical and marketing partnership with foreign technology companies and chip manufacturers helps MK Smart build valuable expertise in the card industry. In June 2010, the Company was certified by International GSM Association Security Accreditation System (SAS) to be one of the 27 card factories in the world under this Scheme.

In August and November 2010, the company received Certified MasterCard and VISA Certificate for financial cards after rigorous audits

Thanks to market proximity and its efficient supply chain management, MK Smart is able to offer the fastest delivery time and very comprehensive value-added services ranging from card designing, card personalization, data management, customized chip applications to thermal printing and packaging.

 

History

MK Smart used to be a joint venture between MK Technology JSC and Sinclair-Tek Corporation. The Company has been in the card business since 2003 with significant growth in recent years. MK Smart now is the leading card manufacturer in Vietnam, supplying to a wide range of corporate customers in Vietnam, including leading banks and mobile phone operators.

MK Smart is a subsidiary company under MK Group which also owns MK Technology – in Saigon Hi-Tek Park, MK Telecom Products and founder of VinaPay, a payment service company in Vietnam.
