Investment Officer (Hanoi)
Location
We have one position open in
Hanoi.
Description
Investment Officer is responsible for the following:
performing comprehensive investment appraisals on companies which is considered a potential investment;
implementing investments in companies which has been agreed to make an investment. This involves preparing and negotiating legal agreements, assisting companies to successfully complete a financial audit, assisting companies to make the necessary legal changes, facilitating the legal due diligence process and solving problems that arise during the implementation process; and
providing value-added assistance to investee companies. This involves spending significant time working closely with specific companies in order to help them identify opportunities for improvement, develop plans for those improvements and assist them in implementing those improvements.
Requirements
We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in the following areas:
strong financial or Sales backgrounds;
lean manufacturing expert or Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus; or
management consulting or strategy consulting (outside of Vietnam); or
private equity or investment management (outside of Vietnam).
successful candidates should meet the following criteria:
5(+) years of relevant experience;
very impressive career achievements;
significant levels of responsibility at your most recent employer;
ability to add significant value to the companies in which our funds invest;
minimum 5+ years experiences (prefer with MNCs) with clear track record growth of career path i.e the scope of responsibilities increasing from specific functional responsibilities to broader scales (bigger picture);
excellent fluency in English and Vietnamese;
MBA graduated;
must be living in Vietnam at the time of the application;
personality characteristics associated with success at Mekong Capital.

Investment Officer (HCMC)

Ho Chi Minh city.
Description
Investment Officer is responsible for some combination of the following:
performing comprehensive investment appraisals on companies which is considered a potential investment;
implementing investments in companies which has been agreed to make an investment. This involves preparing and negotiating legal agreements, assisting companies to successfully complete a financial audit, assisting companies to make the necessary legal changes, facilitating the legal due diligence process and solving problems that arise during the implementation process; and
providing value-added assistance to investee companies. This involves spending significant time working closely with specific companies in order to help them identify opportunities for improvement, develop plans for those improvements and assist them in implementing those improvements.
Requirements
No experience in investment or finance is required as we prefer candidates with a management background. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in the following areas:
senior management positions at leading multinational companies in Vietnam - particularly Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Production Manager, Brand Manager, Finance Manager or HR Manager; or
Audit Senior or higher at an international auditing firm; or
lean manufacturing expert or Six Sigma Black Belt; or
management consulting or strategy consulting (outside of Vietnam); or
private equity or investment management (outside of Vietnam).
Successful candidates should meet the following criteria:

Finance & Accounting Consultant (Hanoi)
Location
We have one position open in
Hanoi.
Description
Finance & Accounting Consultant is responsible for some combination of the following:
assist the Deal Team in analyzing financial performance and assessing
financial and compliance risks of potential investments;perform system
review, including accounting and internal control system, of potential
investments during the appraisal process;advise on the range of
valuation of potential investments;coordinate with the audit firms
during the implementation process to support the cooperation between the
companies and the auditors;support the Deal Team in the Financial Due
Diligence of potential investments;build up the capacity of the investee companies in related finance and accounting areas, including:
restructure the finance & accounting department;recruit and provide coaching for key positions in the finance & accounting department;improve costing system;
improve management reporting system;
enhance internal control system;
strengthen financial management function;
give advice on Finance & Accounting related issues to the Deal team and
the investee companies;others assigned by the Head of Finance & Accounting Team.
Requirements
able to work independently;
be proactive and eager for learning;
have good relationship skills;
have good communication skills both in Vietnamese and English;
have up to 4 years of audit experience is prefered.
