Mia Vo is Head of Investor Relations and Storytelling Lead at Mekong Capital, where she oversees the firm’s investor relations activities, including LP reporting, investor communications and events, while continuing to lead storytelling across the firm. With more than 16 years of experience in strategic communications, Mia brings a distinctive communications perspective to investor relations – helping
translate complex investment developments and portfolio company performance into direct, transparent and precise communications for Mekong Capital’s investors.
Having spent more than two years at Mekong Capital since 2023, Mia previously served as Head of Communications, leading the firm’s communications and consulting portfolio companies, including LiveSpo, Gene Solutions, Vua Nệm and F88, on corporate communications, brand positioning and culture development. She worked closely with the Investment team and portfolio company leaders to uncover and articulate the stories behind their strategies, transformations and results.
As Storytelling Lead, she continues to shape how these stories are
communicated across Mekong Capital. Beyond her Investor Relations and Storytelling responsibilities, Mia serves as an internal coach at Mekong Capital, supporting professional development in negotiation skills, effective communications and Breakdown to Breakthrough*. She also facilitates vision creation and strategy workshops for portfolio companies.
Before joining Mekong Capital, Mia built an extensive career
across corporate communications, content development, branding and strategic communications. She held leadership roles at organizations including HTV Television, FOX Networks Group, Yeah1, VTVCab and DatVietVAC, and spent more than ten years running her own communications business.
Born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Mia moved to the United Kingdom to study at the age of 16. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Culture Studies from Oxford and a Master’s degree with Distinction in Communication Management. She is also an ICF-accredited Level 2 Leadership Coach and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Sciences, researching the power of storytelling in corporate communications.
In her Investor Relations role, Mia brings together her experience in communications, storytelling and investment-related content
to strengthen the connection between Mekong Capital and its investors —ensuring that the firm’s strategies, progress and portfolio developments are communicated with clarity and transparency.
