Minh Tran is Mekong Capital’s Director of AI and Digital Transformation, leading the firm’s efforts to apply AI and digital technologies to improve core business processes and support portfolio companies in building the foundations needed to scale.
She brings more than 18 years of product and technology leadership experience across banking, fintech, big data, and retail, with a track record of building digital products and driving transformation initiatives that solve real-world problems.
Prior to joining Mekong Capital, Minh served as Group Head of Product and Country Director at Rakkar Digital, Asia’s leading qualified digital asset custodian. There, she led the development of a bank-grade custody platform that grew assets under custody tenfold to more than US$700 million and achieved SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certifications within its first year.
Previously, as Director of Solution Development at Techcombank, she led the launch of the bank’s Business Banking platform in just seven months. The platform now serves thousands of SME and corporate clients. She also played a key role in embedding Agile ways of working across cross-functional teams.
Earlier in her career, as Head of E-Commerce and Digital for a retail business, she helped integrate online and offline channels into a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
Minh began her career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where she worked on a large-scale system for the U.S. government that supported the delivery of child support payments to families across the country. She returned to Vietnam in 2012 and has since led digital transformation initiatives across the banking, retail, and fintech sectors in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
She holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
