At Mekong, we’re on the lookout for a self-driven Senior Officer who can take charge of our employee engagement. Your work will be crucial in helping our employees excel, stay with us, and align their goals with Mekong’s vision.
  • Align Purposes: Connect Mekonger’s personal goals with Mekong’s purpose and vision, creating a unified team.
  • Boost Engagement: Enable our team members to connect what they do every day to the common goals of the company, stay engaged, and deliver their accountabilities.
  • Enhance Retention: Keep our best people on board through a fulfilling work environment.

Key Accountabilities:

Connect with Mekong Purpose & Vision (20%)

  • Onboarding: Enable the effectiveness of the introduction of Mekong’s purpose and vision to new hires, inspiring them to join our cause.
  • Personal Purpose Alignment: Enable conversations for Mekongers to explore how their personal goals align with Mekong’s work. Coordinate to address any new actions arising from these discussions.
  • Create Purpose Groups: Set up groups for employees with shared goals. Invite leaders, as well as ensure goals and action plans in place for each group.
  • Enable Purpose Group Success: Collaborate with group leaders to effectively implement initiatives, enabling Mekongers to experience some of their personal purposes fulfilled through their work at Mekong.
  • Initiate employee engagement projects, stay updated on best practices, and propose suitable new initiatives to the line manager.
  • Upon request of Line Manager/Mentor, lead or coordinate coaching sessions (1:1) for Mekongers to inquire into obstacles and opportunities for performance acceleration, then further enhance the engagement-driven action plans.
Implement initiatives to enhance employee-company bonds, such as:
  • Internal Communication: Ensure timely communication of key messages to all employees.
  • Organize quarterly All Hands meetings for recognition and engagement.
  • Organize relevant meaningful company-wide events based on companys priorities.

Other Purpose Fulfillment/Employee Engagement activities as requested by the senior management team from time to time.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Employee Engagement/ HR Business Partner/ Organization Development or Internal Communication Role with a preference for approximately 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or Team Leader.
