Sophia is the Head of Investments at Mekong Capital, managing the fund’s investments in YOLA, Nhất Tín, and HSV. She possesses broad and deep expertise in retail, education, agritech, and logistics, with particular strengths in expanding store networks, identifying successful business models, connecting companies with industry experts, and optimizing operational performance.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Hanoi, Sophia is the eldest of three sisters. Instilled with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, she studied in the United States, graduating from the Western Washington University School of Business. For over a decade, Sophia has accumulated solid experience in management consulting, investment banking, and financial auditing, having worked at EY Consulting and PwC.
Prior to joining Mekong Capital, Sophia made significant contributions to numerous strategic projects, including business due diligence, corporate restructuring, market development strategy development, and providing sales-related consulting services to clients in the telecommunications, real estate, and fashion manufacturing industries.
At Mekong Capital, Sophia continues her growth and transformation journey, focusing on enhancing leadership and communication skills, and striving to become a trusted strategic partner for the founders and CEOs of portfolio companies. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, culinary arts, and interior design.
