Guided by our Vision 2030 for Mekong Capital, we continue to evolve as Vietnam’s leading growth capital investor, empowering exceptional entrepreneurial teams to scale sustainably and create lasting impact. Our approach — deeply rooted in Vision-Driven Investing — places profound trust in founders and leaders, enabling them to think bigger, build world-class organizations, and realize ambitious yet achievable Visions. We aim to steadily expand our capabilities in high-growth sectors and increasingly in areas of regenerative agriculture and food value chain development.

Mekong Capital is set up to empower strong teams of co-founders or companies with already robust management teams to enter their next phase of growth.

Our best and most successful investments have been minority investments in growth-stage companies with strong teams of co-founders. We typically prefer to take medium to large minority stakes (most frequently 30–49%) in companies with multiple co-founders.

We look for companies that have already established positive unit economics and are ready to scale significantly faster and/or expand their already proven business model into new markets or customer segments.

As a growth capital investor, we invest in companies that are about to embark on a major acceleration phase. At this stage, companies are usually:

  • strengthening corporate governance
  • building out senior and middle management teams
  • developing / upgrading digital infrastructure & systems

Companies that have not yet proven a sustainable and profitable business model, or that require significant operational restructuring, are generally not a fit for our strategy.

We create value by first placing deep trust in the leadership of our investee companies — especially the founders. We empower leaders to step up, think bigger, and lead with confidence, while at the same time taking a stand for a shared, ambitious, yet achievable Vision.

We stand for leadership transformation — helping founders and CEOs evolve into world-class leaders capable of building and scaling very large, sustainable organizations.

We help build strong, value-adding Boards of Directors (including truly independent directors) that accelerate sustainable growth and maintain the highest standards of governance, environmental responsibility, and social impact.

We connect our companies with the best talent and most experienced experts available in the market, and we bring the most relevant global and regional best practices.

When necessary, we become the catalyst for important leadership and board-level change — always with the aim of helping the company stay aligned with and successfully achieve its Vision. Through active board partnership, coaching, disciplined performance management, and continuous focus on the Vision, we partner with our investee companies to build effective, vision-driven leadership teams that can scale successfully. We aim for our investee companies to have a very strong track record of actually achieving or even exceeding their Vision.

Evolving Our Platform for Greater Impact and Diversification

Building on the strong foundations and proven track records of our current growth private equity funds — Mekong Enterprise Fund III and Mekong Enterprise Fund IV — which invest in high-potential sectors such as consumer services, healthcare, education, biotechnology, consumer finance, and increasingly regenerative agriculture, we are purposefully expanding our offerings.

This includes actively developing a dedicated impact-oriented strategy focused on regenerative agriculture, sustainable food systems, and nature-positive business models across the Lower Mekong region. This initiative aims to deliver financial returns alongside meaningful environmental regeneration, climate resilience, and social inclusion.
