Official Notice: Mekong Enterprise Fund III completed its divestment from Pizza 4P’s

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (18 November 2022) – Mekong Capital announced today that the Mekong Enterprise Fund III (MEF III) has successfully divested its stake in Pizza 4P’s.

Since MEF III’s investment in 2018, Pizza 4P’s grew from a chain of 8 restaurants to a network of 27 restaurants in Vietnam and Cambodia, representing growth of more than three times. During this rapid growth, Pizza 4P’s has successfully maintained its uniquely high-quality standards and commitment to delivering ‘Wow’ dining experiences to its customers. As a validation of its stronghold in customer experience, Pizza 4P’s has recently been nominated as the Best Pizza in Vietnam and Cambodia as part of Asia’s Best Awards 2022 by the well-known international magazine  Travel + Leisure Asia.

Mr. Chris Freund, Partner of Mekong Capital, said:

We are so proud of the achievements of Pizza 4P’s over the last 4 years. Under the leadership of the founders, Masuko and Sanae, Pizza 4P’s has continued to set and raise the standards for the quality of food and service among any restaurant group in Vietnam. My personal favorite is their homemade cheeses. It’s an amazing achievement that Pizza 4P’s expanded from 8 locations to 27 locations while maintaining such high standards, and each new location performed very well. It’s exciting that Pizza 4P’s is commencing its international expansion and we wish them a great success for the next phase of their journey towards Making the World Smile for Peace.”

About Pizza 4P’s

Prior to founding the original Pizza 4P’s restaurant in 2011, the founders Yosuke Masuko and his wife Sanae Masuko had a backyard pizza oven at their house in Tokyo and used to invite their friends over for pizza every weekend. After they moved to Vietnam, they made the decision to establish a business that would spread smiles throughout the world, and pizza would be the way to do it. Pizza 4P’s mission is ‘delivering wow and sharing happiness’. The name Pizza 4P’s is a short version of “Pizzas for Peace.”

Pizza 4P’s original location was on Le Thanh Ton St. in Ho Chi Minh City and has subsequently expanded to Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang and Binh Duong.

Pizza 4P’s operates with Earth-to-People concept as their commitment to serving safe and fresh foods directly from Mother Earth to their guests. Thus, they produce homemade high-quality cheese freshly in Dalat, grow their own herbs and vegetables, and begin to cultivate their own compost-driven farms to recycle food waste.
